March 12, 2008 - I rode
with Joyce to the International School and picked up Bernadette’s car.
I drove to St. Thomas along a different route and was able to avoid 90%
of the normal traffic. It is fun getting to know the city and to be
able to pick alternative routes instead of having to go the only way you
know. Beth’s lesson today was to show a video of the book they are
reading, and then she had some free time. Dan was finishing up
standardized tests with his group and Alexis had her students pondering
“What is life?” All three are working into taking over instruction but
have been hampered by the end of term activities and this week of
standardized testing. All of their supervising teachers seem to thing
they are doing very well and have been impressed with their abilities to
learn names and their willingness to help individual students. |
