Building your Portfolio on a Computer

CD and Hand

Introduction:

The Department of Teacher Education and Professional Development created this resource to help you create your professional electronic portfolio. This resource consists of information and tutorials using Adobe Acrobat to create a PDF portfolio that once burned to a CD, may be viewed by others regardless of the computers they use.

The information and tutorials are provided for those using a Windows computer and those using a Macintosh computer. While the process is basically the same on each operation system, there are minor differences and some different software requirements. Also, working on one computer does not preclude you from using another. For example, you may own a Windows computer and use it to create a number of resources for your portfolio and at the same time, use a laboratory-based Macintosh computer to create other resources. As long as you keep all your resources together in your portfolio folder, you can move from computer to computer without issue.

Below are links to take you to the home page for the two operating systems.
