Building your Portfolio on a Macintosh Computer |
This tutorial web site is designed to help you develop and create an electronic portfolio that demonstrates your knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to graduate from the Central Michigan University teacher education program.
This tutorial explains how to make a Portable Document Format [PDF] portfolio. PDF offers many advantages over other methods of creating an electronic portfolio such as your documents look the same on all computers, your documents open on any platform since all have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed, those viewing your portfolio don't need additional software, and more. These tutorials also use the portfolio template that can be downloaded from the Portfolio Template link below. You may use the templates "as is" or alter them in Microsoft Word. If you alter them, you must make sure you keep the basic structure of the State Standards and other parts of the portfolio. However, you are not required to use these templates or use Adobe Acrobat to create your portfolio. You may use other programs as long as you keep the basic structure of the State Standards and other parts of the portfolio.
