Requesting a Cohort Change Please read the following information carefully. Note that by submitting your completed request form, you are indicating that you have read and understand all the information on this page. If you have any questions, please contact Sheila at 989-774-3976 or email us. |
|
1. This
service is offered to aid students who are unable to attend one of their
originally scheduled cohort classes due to a time conflict with another course. TEPD will make every effort to help students change to a different section of a cohort class but there is absolutely no guarantee that requests can be honored. |
|
2. In order to
honor requests, we must be able to match your request up
with someone who wants to make the opposite switch. We will continue to make switches as space permits until August 18, 2008 for the Fall semester 2008. If your request has not been met by that date, please call the office the first week before classes start in August to see if an alternate section is available that would work with your schedule. 3. To find out if your request has been met, you will need to check in the Campus Management System. It normally takes at least a day for the Registrar's Office to make the actual switch once TEPD notifies them of a change. Please do not call either TEPD or the Registrar's Office. No information will be given out over the phone or emailed to you regarding the status of your request. |
|
4. Forms will
be considered null and void if: (a) you submit more than one form for each class you want to switch, (b) you already have a class scheduled in the time period when the seat you requested becomes available (c) you request that we switch your classes only if all the requests you submitted can be met (d) you submit handwritten forms or email requests (e) you submit a request with your currently assigned section as one of your choices (g) when submitting forms to change more than one class, the order of requested changes is not consistent from form to form if a specific order is requested. (h) you do not include your CMU Student ID on the form. DO NOT ENTER YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER when asked for your Student ID. Your request will not be considered without your CMU Student ID. |
|
5. If you request a
change for each class in your cohort, there is no guarantee that all classes can
be switched. You may end up with classes on 3 or 4 days of the week if only some of your classes can be switched. |
|
6. If your cohort class
gets switched and you decide you would prefer the previously assigned section,
you will have to fill out |
| 7. You are responsible for the end result of any switches you request. |
|
8. Until classes
for Fall 2008 are listed in the portal, you can check your initial
cohort assignments for Fall 2008 by clicking here. Updates will NOT be made on this link after they are listed on the portal the week of March 23, 2008. |
