PREREQUISITES

Students must meet the following requirements before being considered for student teaching:
     1.  Complete all ARC classes with a 'C+' or better
     2.  Complete and submit the student teaching application no later than 4:30 pm EST on February 24, 2006.
          Note: this date applies to ARC III students.  Information for ARC IV students will be posted prior to the application period.

Students must complete the following requirements before the student teaching experience begins:
      1.  Register and upload your resume with Career Services, 215 Bovee University Center, (989) 774-3068,

      2.  Complete an interview with your assigned university coordinator
      3.  Complete an interview with the supervising teacher at the location of placement

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
OF THE STUDENT TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Please note that no one will be recommended to the State for certification unless all these requirements are completed successfully.
    
      1.  Complete and document the
Standard First Aid/Adult-Child CPR certification process
      2.  Receive a “C+” or better in the EDU 432 seminar course
      3.  Receive a “credit” rating in the EDU 458 Student Teaching field experience course
